Taylor Swift Shares How She Chose Final Stops for Her Eras Tour, during her Miami concert

Pop sensation Taylor Swift recently shared the process behind selecting the final locations for her highly successful Eras Tour. On Saturday, October 19, during her Miami concert at the Rock Hard Stadium, the singer-songwriter explained how she and her team carefully chose the cities for the tour’s last leg. After launching the tour in March 2023, which spanned across continents like Australia, Asia, and Europe, Swift had one major criterion for the final stops: fan enthusiasm.

“We decided, if we’re going to end this tour—and eventually it has to happen—we gotta pick the crowds and the cities where the crowds are going to be passionate, enthusiastic, screaming the words to every single song,” Swift told her audience, according to People. She emphasized the importance of choosing locations where fans would fully immerse themselves in the experience. And for the kick-off to her last leg, Swift found no better place than Miami, Florida.

Swift’s Miami shows ran from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20. With electrifying energy, she performed hit after hit, reliving each of her musical eras. Right before performing “Lover,” Swift reflected on her journey throughout the tour, describing it as being “all over the place,” before praising Miami as the ideal city to launch the final chapter of her tour.

As a special surprise to the audience, Swift invited collaborator Florence Welch to join her on stage for two nights. The duo performed “Florida,” a track from Swift’s most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department. The two shared a heartfelt moment on stage as Welch pulled Swift in for a warm embrace after their performance, much to the delight of the crowd.

Before her Miami performance, Swift took to social media to share her excitement. She posted a video of herself strolling through the empty stadium, accompanied by her cat, Olivia. As she prepared to take the stage, Swift, in true dramatic fashion, put on her sunglasses in slow motion and captioned the video, “Back in the office,” with GloRilla and Sexxy Red’s track “WATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” playing in the background.

Swift’s Eras Tour has been a record-breaking success, with fans from across the globe coming together to celebrate the different phases of her illustrious career. As the tour approaches its final stops, fans can expect unforgettable performances and surprise moments along the way.

The Eras Tour, which has turned into one of the most historic pop tours ever, is scheduled to wrap up in 2024. Swift’s fans, known for their unwavering support and enthusiasm, will undoubtedly make the final leg as memorable as the beginning.
